Supporting industry trends: In this section, the learner must identify key industry trends that demonstrate an opportunity or unmet need in the industry that the product or service will be competing in. 3. Target market description: In this section, the learner must describe their target market. This includes a demographic description, purchasing criteria (e.g. how important is price?), and other buyer behaviors. 4. Product description: This section requires a comprehensive description of your business idea. What is the primary function of the product or service and what additional features are you addressing. 5. Pricing: This section requires the learner to determine the prices they will charge for their product or service. For more complicated pricing structures, provide a table or chart. 6. Place: Describe where your business will be located (e.g. physical or cyber) and your rationale for its location. 7. Promotion: Describe how you will advertise your product or service. What media will you use? What type of sales force do you anticipate? The following evaluation rubric will be utilized for this section of the business plan: Identify the value proposition of your product and/or service from a marketing perspective. Identify who will be attracted to the value propositions and why. Describe the target market for your business plan proposal. This includes a demographic description, purchasing criteria and other buyer behaviors. Develop specific and actionable plans to attract and retain the target customers. Describe the primary functions of the product or service and what additional features you are addressing in the marketing plan. Describe how prices will be determined for the product or service. Include a table or chart for more complicated pricing structures. Describe where the business will be located (e.g. physical or cyber) and the rationale for its location. Describe how you will advertise your product or service and what media that will be used. Submit a document that demonstrates understanding and evidence of the competency and learning outcomes.
