DB Introduction:

There are a multitude of life-altering issues/decisions taking place in the USA today with their potential outcomes impacting and altering life within a multitude of ways.  In many instances, the US courts play a critical role in the outcomes of major decisions that impact us at the micro through global-level as discussed in the chapter.

Whether issues of voting, civil rights, environment, corruption, etc…or even matters dealing with a potentially “rogue” president.., civilization’s progression rests on the reality that truth and justice are intimately intertwined in ways that impact society, communal/national peace, and any attempts at presenting and enforcing law, at least in countries that presume to be “democratic” government systems.

To better understand the depth of this, let us consider & look at ancient Rome and it’s fall as an antecedent of what happens when corruption in government festers, which serves as testament as to what happens when politics and corruption at all level of government create distrust between it’s citizenry & civilizations institutions—again, more so the case in nations that consider themselves “democratic.”.

From gun rights to issues grounded in institutional corruption—a democracy requires and demands that its citizenry keep check on ALL institutions—but how do we do this when it appears to outsiders that “America the Great” is divided, tearing at the seams, even in simple issues as masking.

Respond to the following prompts with consideration of the later:

Paragraph 1:

What do you consider the most, ultimate, issue in the world today?  Think futuristically, at least 3-5 years from now; then, define it at the micro; the meso; the macro; and the global in this section of the prompt.  Be sure to explain to the reader why this is the case and why they should pay attention to the issue you are sharing with us.

Paragraph 2:

Explain to the reader how your response in paragraph #1 might be impacted by having to go to court. Cite a link in which this is presented and explain it briefly to the reader  DO not dump. Conclude by examining in writing, What might be some issues specific to today’s political, environmental, socio-economic, cultural/religious environment relevant to that particular issue?
